why are da console cost so much is tuh by. Is too much muney.
Seriously though, everyone complaining about the costs of PCs sound like this. If you build your own computer and know how to be a smart shopper you can get a very good gaming rig for not all that much more than a console. And if you really want to compare prices, compare function/price. "b-b-but my xbone can do so much" So let's get this strait ... All we have to do is trawl the net for a few hours (for each part) then assemble said parts (assuming we all know how to build a pc from scrach) install the software and we're good to go(until the next time we need to update the hard wear) all this for not much more than just going to the shops and buying a ps4. Yea a ******* bargain . First off, I know that not everybody needs or wants a gaming rig or even a desktop, I know that for some a laptop or even a tablet can meet your needs just fine.
Now that's out the way, down to business.
Yes, finding the absolute best price for various components can take a while, hell even figuring out what parts to get can take a fair chunk of time for a first timer (or even a grizzled vet, although that's half the fun in many cases) - that said, you will generally get more for your cash, as well as ending up with a machine that better suits your needs than an off the shelf one.
Secondly, while the actual building bit can seem daunting, it really doesn't take much time or technical know how - and there are many excellent guides and communities out there that can help out first timers.
So yeah, building your own machine is definitely not for everyone, but nor is it a time consuming or difficult as you made out.
EDIT: As pointed out in the above post, the cost of building a machine can increase a lot depending on where you live - a factor I admit I didn't take into account. |

The very top of the line PS4 barely costs more than a weak gaming PC.
So, more comfortable gaming, and good graphics.

Sitting at a desk with crappy graphics.
For basically the same cost.
Nope, you can pretty much match a PS4 for not a lot more - and it'll do you better in the long run, as a $150 or so every two or three years will keep your machine in the mid tier while the PS4 will drop off pretty quick.
Plus you can still game on a PC using a controller while sitting in a nice cushiony chair, I don't know why people are so insistent that you can't.
EDIT: As a Brit, my dollar conversion was a bit off. |

My computer was purchased after I got my PS3, and yet my PS3 is still running beautifully, while my computer is laggy, and gradually slowing down. It'll drop off comparatively - in a couple of years time the PS4 be a lot worse value for money (purely from a performance standpoint).
And it's not my fault you don't know how to look after your PC. |
